Alchemist - Asia's Most Promising Brand

Alchemist, was honoured with the Asia’s Most Promising Brand Award, at the 'Asian Brand and Leadership Summit - 2013' held in Dubai on 26-27 August 2013. The two day summit was an initiative of World Consulting and Research Corporation (WCRC) and KPMG India was the advisor and evaluator for the brand selection process.

The award citation noted that "Alchemist Group is one of india’s fastest expanding publicly traded group of firms currently valued at Rs. 100 billion (10,000 cr.) with more than 9,800 employees" and has "transformed into a global business house". The citation further added that Alchemist "has a marvellous record in human resources, international standards, ecological consciousness and benevolence".

The award was presented by Professor Malcolm McDonald, Emeritus Professor of Marketing at Cranfield University School of Management and Mr Pradeep N Dhoot, Group President of Videocon Industries to Maj Gen (Retd) Anil Oberoi, Vice-Chairman of Alchemist Group of Companies.

Speaking on the occasion before an august gathering of more than 200 delegates from 15 Asian countries, Maj Gen Oberoi attributed the success of Alchemist Group to the visionary Chairman Emeritus Dr. K D Singh and the dynamic and young Chairman, Mr Karan Deep Singh who have brought the company to the level of global recognition. He also spoke on the diversified business continuum of the company covering the business of Hospitality, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Food Processing, Real Estate and Education.

The Asian Brand and Leadership Summit honours most promising brands from various Asian countries that have contributed to the amazing success story and charted a path-breaking and progressive blueprint of the Asian economy. The eminent panel of international jury members comprised of Professor Malcolm McDonald, Emeritus Professor of Marketing at Cranfield University School of Management and Ms Priti Patel, British Member of Parliament, Lord Swaraj Paul- Chairman of Caparo Group (UK), and Ms. Janet Libert- Editor in Chief- Executive Travel- American Express.
