Tea Gardens

Alchemist Tea Gardens, run as Dooteriah & Kalej Valley Tea Estates in Darjeeling and Assam, produce a wide variety of world-class Teas that supply some of the top tea brands around the world through wholesale markets.

We produce orthodox leaf, flower, silver tip, pearl and some very good muscatel varieties across our plantations. Our output is over 450,000 kg of Darjeeling Tea and 850,000 kg of Assam team every year. We have gardens in Darjeeling (Dooteriah, Kalej Valley and Peshok) and in Assam (Seleng and Moheema.)

Our Darjeeling Gardens were founded in 1871, are spread over 765 hectares, are HACCP certified and provide excellent facilities to our local staff including a school, dispensary, play grounds and more. The tea grown here is varieties of pure and hybrid China as well as Assam hybrids. Our Assam gardens were founded in 1867 and are spread over 775 hectares and produce tea from Assam Jat seeds and some mixed clones. The different tea varieties grow at various altitudes with the rarest leaves being produced at the highest levels.

Our teas are exported to Germany, Austria, Singapore, UAE and the US.
