Group Executive Director

Mr.Chauhan, a seasoned senior executive with over 30 years experience including ten years at the EVP level, is Group Executive Director at Alchemist Group and handles a wide portfolio of its diverse businesses in addition to several strategic initiatives across the Group.

He started his illustrious career at a green field site and after several years in the consulting and manufacturing sectors with companies like Engineers India, Ballarpur Industries and Polyplex Corporation, the last position he held was as EVP with the Thapar Group. He was responsible for developing businesses and marketing strategies, managing annual budgets, long-range planning for much of the Thapar Group’s activities, setting up green field projects and new businesses, organization development and coordinating with various industry Groups and Associations.

Mr.Chauhan brings to Alchemist Group in-depth and wide ranging management experience of several industries including Pulp, Paper, Hotels, Restaurants, Electronics, Integrated Aquaculture, fine Chemicals, Polyester Film, Non-conventional Energy (Solar PV), Real Estate and more. He has steered techno-viability studies for many projects and has ensured their successful and profitable execution.

Ashok has Batchelor’s degree in Engineering (a Gold medalist) and an MBA and has attended various executive development programs at IIM inCorporate Planning, Business Strategy and Project Management. An active and keen sportsman, he was captain of his College Hockey and Athletics teams and was awarded the Best Sportsman Award. His vast experience in managing diverse businesses will help steer Alchemist Group into the future as it becomes one of India’s top 20 conglomerates.
